Continental Open Derby Championship
Winner was Prairieland Price, owned by Dr. Bob Cook, handled by Randy Anderson. Runner-Up was Poison, owned and handled by Tommy Davis.
Judges for the Derby were: Tim Miles of Beachton, Georgia and Jim Davis of Pavo, Georgia. Barbara Teare of Robertsdale has graciously agreed to report both trials.

CONTINENTAL OPEN DERBY CHAMPIONSHIP
January 16 - 19, 2006
The Continental Open Derby Championship concluded January 19, 2006 at
Dixie Plantation near Greenville, Florida. Fifty-two pointers and one setter were drawn and came to the line. A worthy champion emerged in pointer male Prairieland Pride, with a solid, reaching race and one effectively handled covey, produced under challenging conditons. Randy Anderson handled the winner for owner Dr. Bob Cook of Kenosha, WI.
Pointer male Poison, owned and handled by Tommy Davis of Albany, GA claimed the runner-up spot with a powerful hour and a striking divided find.
Judges Tim Miles of Beachton, GA and Jim Davis of Pavo, GA presided over a field of quality juveniles. (Bulletin submitted to American Field by Barbara Teare)

Continental Open All-Age Championship
Winner was High Noon Drifter owned by John Milton, Jr. and handled by Ricky Furney; Runner up was Rester's Perfect Storm owned by J. Harang and handled by Robin Gates. High Noon Drifter also took Top Qualifying Dog.
